Listed here are some general uniform guidelines for what our group requires from its participating members. A comprehensive list, including information on where to obtain these items, is available in the following downloadable guide:

27th Virginia Volunteer Infantry, Company M
*Richmond Depot Type II Shell Jacket - 9 Button with "I" imprint. Cadet or Richmond gray. No trim.
*Trousers – Sky Blue wool (can be used when doing union impression) or Black wool-cotton which is what the 27th primarily wore.
*Shirt- Any standard pattern shirt
*Hatwear– Choice of Kepi (Cadet or Richmond Grey) or slouch hat (recommended - keeps rain and sun off better than kepi, preferably black)
*Footwear– Standard black 1855 Brogans (stitched soles recommended) and 100% wool socks (uniform gray of brown color)
*Leathers– Cartridge box 1855 US or Enfield. Cartridge box sling. Cap box 1855 US or Enfield. Belt with CSA buckle.

2nd Vermont Volunteer Infantry, Company M
*Sack Coat - 6 Button, Navy Blue wool.
*Trousers – Sky Blue wool.
*Shirt- Any standard pattern shirt
*Hatwear– Choice of Kepi or Forage Cap (aka:Bummer) - Navy Blue
*Footwear– Standard black 1855 Brogans (stitched soles recommended) and 100% wool socks (uniform gray of brown color)
*Leathers– Cartridge box 1855 US or Enfield. Cartridge box sling. Cap box 1855 US or Enfield. Belt with USA buckle.
*Trousers – Sky Blue wool.
*Shirt- Any standard pattern shirt
*Hatwear– Choice of Kepi or Forage Cap (aka:Bummer) - Navy Blue
*Footwear– Standard black 1855 Brogans (stitched soles recommended) and 100% wool socks (uniform gray of brown color)

Miscellaneous (for ALL) :
- Canteen (Stainless steel with grey wool cover)
- Haversack (any type, but tarred is recommended)
- Period plate– knife, fork, spoon
- Tin (or stainless steel) cup or mucket
- Wool blanket (any non-patterned colour will do).
- Rain poncho (HIGHLY recommended!)
- 1855 Enfield or Springfield .58 caliber 3-band Musket Rifle**
- Bayonet and scabbard (fitted for chosen rifle)
** Note that you will require an FAC/PAL to purchase, own, and transport this item.
- Canteen (Stainless steel with grey wool cover)
